Mondays are my piano lesson days. I go to my piano teacher's house, play the piano, die, and then come home. Today, I went to her house. "Augh. Daphne, I have a very sore throat." "oh I'm sorry.. but it's just a sore throat.. ya know.. take a cough drop, drink some orange juice.." "I think it might be strep throat." Greatly alarmed, I proceeded to inform her that strep throat is HIGHLY CONTAGIOUS... and people can get it by breathing the same air you do. With good humor, she laughed,"Oh really? Hahaha, I didn't know that!" I gave her an unsure look and I briefly wondered if I could use her illness and my possible catching of strep throat to go home- skipping my lessons. =D It was not to be. However, I was very polite and told her that gargling with hot salt water makes the throat feel better. On the car ride home, I joked to my mother about what happened, and she laughed along and joked with me about me catching strep throat. ...
